Yesterday, Joe and I had the honor in attending the wedding of my Soror, Crystal and Joe’s frat brother, Lee. The two became engaged last year, March 19, 2010 and made it official on March 19, 2011. How sweet!! Joe had the honor of serving as one of Lee’s groomsmen.
It’s so beautiful to see how this all worked out. Joe was present when Crystal and Lee met; Lee was present when Joe and I met. Both couples met within weeks of each other! We all became engaged within 3 months of each other…and now we’re getting married within 2 months of each other!! She’s a Delta…he’s an Alpha; I’m a Delta…he’s an Alpha. We will all be connected for life!
The nuptials were held at the historic Biltmore Hotel here in Atlanta, GA. The music, decor and flowers – gorgeous! Of course, the love and emotions were high! The wedding couldn’t have been anymore perfect.
The bride and groom were ear to ear the entire day, and had every reason to be. These two are so full of life and have so much love for each other. Joe and I are so proud to call these two our friends!
Dinner was A-MA-ZING!!!
So everyone (including the Bride) kept asking the question, “Are you ready? Are you ready?” As I’m seeing this all unfold, it doesn’t actually hit me for real this time that we’re going to be married in a few months (76 days)! When I saw Lee come out with the Best Man and Bishop, I became overwhelmed with emotions. I really can’t describe it. I sat on the edge of my seat the ENTIRE ceremony. I couldn’t stop bouncing with excitement. As Joe stood up there as a witness to his brother’s declaration, I was so proud and certain that the choice I made was the best choice! I thanked God for bringing me a man with such love and compassion for God, family, life, and me! Okay…getting emotional about it all…back to the wedding!
The Vintage Rolls Royce served as the getaway car. The two finished the evening at the St. Regis Hotel, where they spent their anniversary the year before after he proposed. It was definitely a fairy tale wedding that all girls dream of!
Congratulations Lee & Crystal!!! Joe and I couldn’t be more proud of you! We love you!
